I'm so happy to be interviewing this sexy curve right here for Valentines Day. How are you doing this evening?

I'm doing wonderfully, thank you! It's a pleasure to be here with you and the Fearless Curves family.

Please tell the readers where you're from?

I’m from Jersey and no we don’t want to be like NYC lol!

What inspired Tanisha Frazier to pursue a career in fashion and modeling, and how has her journey evolved over the years?

Growing up, I often felt uncomfortable in my own skin, but seeing models like Toccara Jones on "America's Next Top Model" was life-affirming for me. I didn't see many women who looked like me in the media, and I wanted to change that.  After I graduated with my bachelor’s that’s when my fashion journey began. Over the past decade my journey has evolved from doing small local shows to working with various designers, walking during NYFW, and working with celebrity photographers.

How has Tanisha’s academic background in fashion merchandising influenced her work as a plus-size model?

My academic background in fashion merchandising has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry, from design to consumer behavior. This knowledge has been invaluable in my modeling career, allowing me to approach projects with a keen sense of style, market trends, and the business aspects of fashion.

What was it like for Tanisha to transition from being signed with Bi-coastal MGMT to her current management with Famous Talent Management in NYC?

Transitioning to Famous Talent Management in NYC has been an exciting journey. Each agency has its unique strengths, and moving to Famous Talent Management has opened new doors and provided fresh perspectives in my career. The support and opportunities I've received have been instrumental in my growth as a model.

Can you share some insights into Tanisha’s experience working in television and film, including her roles in Law & Order, Madam Secretary, and The Amazing Spiderman 2?

Working in television and film has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Being on sets like Law & Order, Madam Secretary, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 gave me a unique behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment industry, making it a great experience even if you’re not actively pursuing acting. It provides opportunities to network with industry professionals, earn extra income, and gain confidence in front of the camera. For models, it’s a great way to learn how to take direction and observe professional styling and production techniques. Plus, it can be a fun and memorable experience, with the chance to appear in major productions and even land unexpected opportunities.

What has been Tanisha’s most memorable runway experience, and how does she prepare for major fashion shows like Uptown Fashion Week and Curvy Fashion Week?

One of my most memorable runway experiences was walking for True Hustler 4 Lyfe for Runway 7 NYFW at Sony Hall. The energy, the audience, and the celebration of diverse beauty made it unforgettable as one of few plus size models to represent that season.

How did it feel for Tanisha to be featured in the I Choose Me Project by Bruna Lacerda Photography, and what impact did that experience have on her?

Being featured in the "I Choose Me" Project was profoundly empowering. The project emphasized the importance of self-acceptance and challenged societal judgments about beauty. Participating in it reinforced my commitment to promoting body positivity and reminded me of the strength that comes from embracing one's true self.

What does Tanisha believe are the biggest challenges and opportunities for plus-size models in the fashion industry today?

One of the biggest challenges for plus-size models is overcoming entrenched stereotypes and advocating for broader representation. However, there's a growing movement towards inclusivity, presenting opportunities to reshape industry standards. By showcasing diverse body types, we can inspire confidence and redefine beauty norms.

How does Tanisha balance her career as a model with her behind-the-scenes work as a backstage dresser, model coordinator, and panelist?

Balancing these roles requires effectively requires time management and a genuine passion for all facets of the fashion industry. Being involved behind the scenes enriches my understanding of the industry and enhances my performance as a model. Each role complements the other, contributing to a holistic perspective. I’ll also be honest I’m not as busy as I used to be so that makes it much easier lol! But I’m hoping that changes this year.

What drives Tanisha’s passion for philanthropy, particularly her advocacy for polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) awareness?

As a PCOS warrior myself, I understand the challenges associated with the condition. My personal journey fuels my passion for raising awareness and supporting others facing similar struggles. Advocating for PCOS allows me to use my platform to educate, inspire, and foster a sense of community among those affected.

What future goals and aspirations does Tanisha have for her modeling career and contributions to the fashion industry?

Moving forward, I aspire to work with diverse fashion brands and creatives while continuing to advocate for body positivity and PCOS awareness. I’m focused on turning my dream clients into real collaborations and expanding into lifestyle, travel, hair, and beauty content as a nano-influencer. Additionally, I plan to contribute to the industry through workshops and seminars, using my experience to educate and inspire others in fashion and modeling.

When you hear the words fearless curves what comes to mind?

"Fearless curves" evokes a sense of unapologetic confidence and the celebration of one's body without reservation. It signifies embracing one's natural form and exuding strength, beauty, and resilience.

What makes you feel good?

A good movie, good food, and a hearty laugh always make me feel good.  But empowering others, advocating for causes close to my heart, and expressing myself creatively through modeling and fashion bring me immense joy. Additionally, connecting with individuals who share similar passions and making a positive impact in their lives makes me feel fulfilled.
